Job description
The AppleCare Field Service Diagnostics Engineering team is looking for a candidate with strong automation framework and tool development experience. This role focuses on validating diagnostic and repair tools for various Apple products. The ideal candidate should be passionate, self-motivated, and possess excellent communication skills. The position involves collaborating with multiple teams across Apple to enhance automation strategies and maintain high-quality diagnostic systems.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of Swift and Python programming experience
- Experience building and growing XCUITests and supporting frameworks
- Proven understanding of software testing and QA methodologies
- Strong knowledge of Unix-based systems
- Understanding of CI/CD systems, like Jenkins
- Understanding of Apple Service Toolkit 2 and Field Diagnostics ecosystems
- Exposure to MDM solutions like Puppet or Ansible
- Previous professional experience with robotics
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the team's overall automation strategy from concept to solution
- Expand the team's automation frameworks and build new tools
- Set up monitoring systems for diagnostic and repair tools
- Ensure readiness to test the latest generation of Apple products
