Join Esri's Professional Services team to design and deliver geospatial data platforms that support national security. This role involves working with mission-focused organizations to architect, deploy, and optimize enterprise data environments for ArcGIS-driven systems. You will combine system engineering and data engineering expertise to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across complex infrastructures. • 8+ years of hands-on experience in database design, administration, and optimization for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANA
• Demonstrated experience with database design principles, data loading techniques, backup and recovery solutions, performance monitoring and tuning, database maintenance, and security
• Scripting skills in SQL and Python for automation and data workflows
• Experience with cloud-based database solutions such as AWS RDS and Azure SQL Database
• Understanding of geospatial concepts such as spatial data types, coordinate systems, and spatial indexing
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to technical peers and non-technical project managers or customers
• US citizenship with Active or Current Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database solutions to support mission-critical applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment
• Configure and maintain database environments, including backup, restore, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies
• Monitor and tune database performance using industry-standard tools and methodologies such as query optimization and indexing strategies
• Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards across environments
• Automate routine database loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks to improve efficiency
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for database design, migration, and integration projects
