The role focuses on designing, implementing, and operating robust, low-latency systems that integrate AI-driven development. Engineers will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with domain experts to modernize business processes and enhance trading capabilities. This position emphasizes the use of AI tools to accelerate the software development lifecycle and deliver significant business value.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software development experience in Java, preferably Java 17 or higher.
- Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, including the ability to govern AI agents and maintain quality over AI-generated work.
- Experience building event-driven and distributed systems, including familiarity with messaging platforms like Apache Kafka.
- Strong understanding of SDLC practices, including version control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate high-availability, multi-region, cloud-native services with security and observability.
- Develop event-driven architectures and optimized data paths for trade lifecycle management.
- Partner with engineers and stakeholders to model and digitize business processes, driving modernization.
- Manage the full lifecycle of software components from requirements analysis through to release.
- Innovate solutions to complex business and technical problems, building reusable capabilities across functions.
Benefits
- Employees at Goldman Sachs are often offered comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, life and disability coverage, generous vacation and holidays, and robust wellness resources such as EAP counseling, medical advocacy, on-site/virtual health services, and fitness support. Financial perks typically include retirement savings programs, live financial education, education support, and wealth-creation opportunities through equity awards and select investment programs. Many locations also provide family benefits (childcare resources, parental and family leaves, adoption/surrogacy support) and flexible work options like part-time schedules, job sharing, telecommuting, and alternate hours.
