Job description

The AI Systems Engineer role at EY focuses on the delivery, model-serving, routing, and observability of the AI-native platform. This position is crucial for ensuring that AI workloads are efficiently managed and monitored across various environments. The engineer will work closely with senior engineers to enhance capabilities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role combines elements of DevOps, MLOps, FinOps, and observability to create a robust infrastructure for AI services.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, MLOps, platform, or observability engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD/CV pipelines and GitOps tooling.
  • Expertise in operating inference/model-serving frameworks on GPU infrastructure.
  • Experience with observability stacks and OpenTelemetry.
  • Familiarity with model/artifact governance and supply-chain scanning.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate CI/CD/CV pipelines for AI services and runtime components.
  • Own governance and discovery for AI assets, including service catalog and experiment tracking.
  • Manage resource and cost allocation to ensure AI execution remains economically bounded.
  • Oversee the full observability stack, including metrics, logs, and traces.
  • Automate delivery and continuous verification processes to ensure policy compliance.
