Job description
This is a Senior Software Engineering position at the Vice President level within the Structured Credit & Financing Technology team at Morgan Stanley in New York. The role focuses on providing intraday desk-facing coverage for trading tools related to Credit Repo and Credit Exotics while enhancing platform stability and workflows. The ideal candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, including traders and global technology teams, to address production issues and develop robust software solutions. This position requires strong hands-on development skills and effective communication in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong hands-on software development experience in modern programming languages such as Java, Scala, C++, C#, or Python.
- Experience building and supporting medium to large-scale server-side applications.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architecture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide intraday coverage for Structured Credit & Financing trading tools.
- Act as a senior technology contact for traders and business users during the London trading day.
- Triage, investigate, and resolve production issues across trading and reporting tools.
- Design, develop, and maintain software across the Structured Credit & Financing technology stack.
- Deliver enhancements for Credit Repo, Exotics, and related workflows.
