Job description
The DevGen.AI Lead Product Engineer will oversee product execution, engineering enablement, and customer adoption for Morgan Stanley's AI platform. This role is pivotal in connecting enterprise demand to DevGen.AI capabilities and ensuring teams can navigate the Innovate → Incubate → Implement lifecycle effectively. The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineering, governance, and business teams, to drive high-value use cases and promote responsible AI adoption. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team focused on innovation and impactful solutions.
Requirements
- Strong product engineering background with proven experience delivering enterprise platforms or developer tools.
- Hands-on understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and responsible AI delivery practices.
- Ability to translate complex customer needs into reusable platform capabilities and implementation roadmaps.
- Experience leading engineering teams or cross-functional delivery across various stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, product engineering, or enterprise technology delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead DevGen.AI product execution across platform capabilities and adoption workflows.
- Partner with engineering, architecture, and governance teams to move use cases from experimentation to enterprise-scale implementation.
- Serve as the connective tissue across product, engineering, and executive stakeholders.
- Own intake orchestration for high-value DevGen.AI demand and guide teams to the right capabilities.
- Translate customer demand and usage data into prioritized product backlog themes.
- Drive adoption of the Innovate → Incubate → Implement lifecycle with appropriate controls.
- Build and guide rapid prototypes, POCs, and reusable reference implementations.
- Enable responsible AI adoption by coordinating with governance stakeholders.
- Champion InnerSource contribution practices to create firmwide capabilities.
- Lead community enablement through office hours, demos, and technical guidance.
- Identify opportunities to reduce duplication across teams by promoting common patterns.
- Track and communicate adoption, productivity, and platform impact metrics.
