The Design Change Manager will join the Global Design Standards and Change Management (GDSCM) team at AWS, focusing on the Basis of Design and Programmatic Design Change Management programs. This role requires deep technical expertise across multiple engineering disciplines to evaluate complex design changes across over 300 in-flight projects. The manager will collaborate with various teams to ensure design changes are properly vetted, funded, and executed. The position is critical in maintaining the technical quality and operational efficiency of AWS's global infrastructure.

• 5+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer License.
• Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
• Experience in carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

• Evaluate complex design changes across multiple engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, architectural, controls, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Conduct feasibility analyses and production readiness assessments for proposed design changes.
• Coordinate technical reviews with principal engineers across various disciplines.
• Develop and maintain implementation plans for design changes from approval through site deployment.
• Present design change recommendations and cost implications to senior leadership.
• Identify opportunities to streamline design change workflows and reduce execution timelines.
