Job description
The Wireless Module Engineer (WME) is a technical lead responsible for the development of wireless modules from architecture definition to mass production. This role requires strong collaboration across various technical domains, including RF design and reliability engineering. The WME will manage module integration and ATE test coverage while overseeing the ATE maturity preparation. This position involves international travel to OSATs for module and ATE bring-up prior to product NPI builds.
Requirements
- BS degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
- Strong RF fundamentals and a proven track record in effective communication.
- At least 2 years of wireless module development experience for consumer electronic devices.
- Strong RF design background with additional experience in packaging, product engineering, ATE, and reliability engineering.
- Strong data analysis skills including yield analysis and retest rate analysis.
- Experience in managing vendor teams and leading cross-time-zone meetings.
- AI/ML experience with expertise in Data Analysis is a plus.
- Ability to travel internationally.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of wireless modules from early architecture definition through mass-production ramp.
- Initiate and lead RF architecture and specification discussions with internal teams and OSATs.
- Manage module integration and ATE test coverage at OSATs.
- Oversee ATE maturity preparation for hardware and software.
- Collaborate closely with OSATs to validate and approve final ATE hardware and software integration.
- Lead the failure analysis process with OSATs following NPI builds.
- Facilitate collaboration with multi-functional groups at Apple to define test coverage.
- Translate expected product field-usage profiles into reliability test models for modules and components.
