Job description

The Wireless Module Engineer (WME) is a technical lead responsible for the development of wireless modules from early architecture definition to mass production. This role emphasizes strong collaboration across various technical domains, including RF design and reliability engineering. The WME will manage module integration and ATE test coverage, ensuring compliance with internal specifications. Additionally, the role involves international travel to oversee ATE bring-up and facilitate collaboration with multi-functional groups.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree.
  • Strong RF fundamentals.
  • Proven track record for effective written and verbal communication.
  • Preferred advanced degree in a technical discipline with at least 2 years of wireless module development experience.
  • Strong RF design background with additional experience in packaging, product engineering, ATE, and reliability engineering.
  • Strong data analysis skills including yield analysis and retest rate analysis.
  • Experience in managing vendor teams and leading cross-time-zone meetings.
  • AI/ML experience with expertise in data analysis is a plus.
  • Very good communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to define best engineering methods for custom wireless module development.
  • Experience in setting up project schedules and communicating risks.
  • Proficient in reviewing mechanical and electrical designs for test systems.
  • Ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of wireless modules from early architecture definition through mass production.
  • Initiate and lead RF architecture and specification discussions with internal teams and OSAT.
  • Manage module integration and ATE test coverage at OSATs.
  • Oversee ATE maturity preparation for hardware and software.
  • Collaborate closely with OSATs to validate and approve final ATE hardware and software integration.
  • Lead the failure analysis process with OSATs following NPI builds.
  • Implement improvement activities to enhance ATE testers and optimize testing processes.
  • Facilitate collaboration with multi-functional groups to define test coverage.
  • Translate expected product field-usage profiles into reliability test models.
