Job description

The senior Engineering Program Manager will lead complex, cross-functional programs focused on Apple's Ecodesign compliance strategy. This role involves interpreting and influencing ecodesign regulations related to energy efficiency, repairability, and sustainability. The position requires collaboration with various internal teams, including hardware engineering and legal, to ensure compliance with global standards. The ideal candidate will thrive at the intersection of sustainable engineering and product design, driving innovative solutions for world-class products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Sustainability Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in product environmental compliance, ecodesign, or energy efficiency regulation within consumer electronics or a regulated industry.
  • Excellent program management skills with a proven track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise with global ecodesign regulations and frameworks such as EU ErP and ENERGY STAR.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle principles related to energy efficiency and repairability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical regulatory content into actionable guidance.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally, estimated at 10-20%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of compliance plans for ecodesign regulations.
  • Influence product design decisions to ensure regulatory readiness.
