Job description
The role is focused on developing innovative camera hardware solutions within the Camera Hardware Engineering group at Apple. The team is dedicated to delivering superior camera hardware that enhances user experience across Apple products. The position requires collaboration with various engineering disciplines to evaluate performance specifications and translate complex system architectures into electrical requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and extensive experience in validating and troubleshooting mixed signal systems.
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience validating mixed signal systems with hands-on measurements in the lab.
- Proficiency in scripting with Python, C, and/or MATLAB.
- Experience with low-level programming and debugging for embedded development on MCU based systems.
- Experience with PCB design and debugging for hardware platforms.
Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams including mechanical, optical, firmware, product/test, and camera systems engineers.
- Evaluate performance specifications for camera hardware.
- Translate complex system architectures into electrical and IC requirements.
- Design experiments to troubleshoot or debug electrical problems.
- Conduct circuit design, schematic capture, layout, and component selection.
