Job description
Apple is seeking a module design engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation smart display technology. This role involves collaborating with multi-functional teams to drive new display technology development and improve display performance. The engineer will work on prototyping efforts, optimize system-level performance, and validate designs through engineering builds. Candidates should be motivated problem solvers with strong communication skills, eager to learn and innovate in a hands-on environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field with 2 years of industry experience.
- Experience in optical design and simulation for light sources, optics, sensors, and their interactions.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment for optical and electrical characterization.
- Familiarity with color science, color calibration, and display/lighting metrology standards.
- Experience with tools for data acquisition and analysis such as Python and LabVIEW.

- Lead the design, development, and qualification activities of smart display technology.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams on prototyping efforts for architecture definition.
- Work with suppliers to understand design tolerance and sensitivities.
- Optimize system-level performance based on critical metrics.
- Validate system designs through engineering builds and design of experiments.
