The Senior Staff Software Engineer for Drive, Frontend at Google will lead the technical direction and architecture of web and mobile applications for Google Drive. The engineer will work on critical projects that impact billions of users, ensuring high scalability and reliability. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 7 years of experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development.
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture, and testing/launching software products.
• 7 years of experience with frontend development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Python, and/or C++.

• Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for new product features and user experiences on the Google Drive frontend across web and mobile platforms.
• Lead the design and architecture of user-facing features.
• Set technical standards, review feature designs, and ensure the high quality and rapid delivery of the team's product output.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of technical excellence and fast-paced innovation.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and cross-functional teams to shape the product roadmap and translate user needs into technical solutions.
