Job description
Apple is seeking a world-class Quality Analyst (QA) to join the Data Solutions & Initiatives (DSI) team. This role focuses on validating the quality and reliability of AI-powered features in real production scenarios. The individual will contribute to Apple's demand generation strategy by ensuring data quality for strategic initiatives. This position requires a strong foundation in quality assurance, data analysis, and system testing.
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience in QA, Quality Engineering, Data QA, or similar roles.
- Strong communication skills to interpret technical concepts and data findings for non-technical users.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and at least one analytics or reporting tool.
- Experience executing automated test cases using languages or frameworks such as Python, JavaScript, or Selenium.
- Familiarity with LLM-based or AI-powered systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Deep dive into various financial and hierarchical data points to understand complex data behavior.
- Define and implement the test strategy based on functional requirements.
- Work closely with product managers to define test plans ensuring data quality.
- Drive test coverage across different source systems and applications.
- Execute test scenarios in a repeatable manner for data quality monitoring.
- Coordinate release management and determine go/no-go decisions on data quality.
- Act as the first gate for production ops issues and prioritize them with the product manager.
- Report findings in a clear and actionable manner.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand implementation logic.
- Manage tickets on found data issues and plan bug fixes with the product manager.
- Communicate status updates to end users and stakeholders in a timely manner.
