Job description
The Systems Development Engineer role at AWS involves working with internal and external customers to execute projects and resolve issues in a dev-ops environment. The team focuses on building and delivering next-generation cloud computing security systems, particularly in cryptography and identity management. This position offers the opportunity to impact large-scale systems while collaborating with top engineers in the industry. Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and are expected to continually improve processes and customer experiences.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or above, or CND (Certified Network Defender) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials)
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
- 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals including networking, storage, and operating systems
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
- 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience
Responsibilities
- Work with Amazon's largest customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services
- Dive deep into technical issues and work diligently to improve the customer experience
- Collaborate with a team of highly talented engineers operating Cryptography and Identity systems
- Execute projects and resolve issues in a dev-ops model of service engineering
- Continuously improve processes and systems within the organization
