Job description
This role involves building and maintaining a data platform for Amazon Ads, processing vast amounts of advertising data daily. The team is focused on developing a Lakehouse architecture that supports both human and AI interactions with advertising data. Engineers will work on creating data pipelines, improving platform capabilities, and developing AI-powered tools. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR, or Storm/Samza.
- 2+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related role.
- 1+ years of experience in Object Oriented Design.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Build data pipelines that convert raw advertising events into metrics for advertisers.
- Design and implement new platform capabilities using table-based architectures.
- Create automated validation and monitoring systems to maintain data accuracy at scale.
- Enhance infrastructure efficiency and reduce operational costs across a large compute fleet.
- Collaborate with partner teams to onboard new advertising products onto the reporting platform.
- Develop AI-powered tools and autonomous operations agents to improve platform reliability and developer productivity.
