The AI Forward Deployed Engineering (AI FDE) team at Databricks is a specialized customer-facing group focused on delivering professional services to help clients build and deploy innovative AI applications. This role involves collaboration with various teams to shape strategic priorities and initiatives while serving as a trusted technical advisor to customers. Candidates should have a passion for working with clients and a strong interest in the latest trends in Generative AI and machine learning. The position is based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and allows for remote work.

• Experience building Generative AI applications, including RAG, multi-agent systems, and fine-tuning with tools such as HuggingFace and LangChain.
• Expertise in deploying production-grade Generative AI applications, including evaluation and optimizations.
• Extensive hands-on industry data science experience, leveraging common machine learning and data science tools like pandas and PyTorch.
• Experience building production-grade machine learning deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Passion for collaboration and driving business value through AI.

• Develop cutting-edge Generative AI solutions to solve customer problems.
• Own production rollouts of consumer and internally facing Generative AI applications.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers across various domains.
• Present at conferences and be recognized as a thought leader internally and externally.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to influence priorities and shape the product roadmap.
