Job description
The role is for a senior engineer and technical leader focused on developing and enhancing Apple's AMS simulation methodology. The successful candidate will work within the CAD team to drive innovation in mixed-signal simulations for various design teams. This position requires collaboration with design engineers to ensure effective simulation workflows and validated IP delivery. The role also involves mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction within a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant AMS (Analog Mixed-Signal) industry experience
- Strong proficiency in Python, Perl, C/C++, or TCL programming
- Deep, hands-on experience with mixed-signal co-simulation tools and methodologies
- Expert-level experience with industry-standard AMS tools including Cadence, Synopsys, or Siemens
- Deep knowledge of analog simulation tools such as Cadence Spectre or Synopsys PrimeSim
- Proficiency with behavioral and functional circuit description languages including SystemVerilog and VHDL
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, maintain, and enhance AMS simulation methodology and solutions
- Collaborate closely with design teams to drive and coordinate AMS/co-simulation flows
- Define how design engineers interact with mixed-signal simulations and design verification workflows
- Mentor engineers and lead small development teams to deliver complex CAD solutions
- Drive efforts to develop and validate AMS flows for different technology nodes
- Ensure ease of use and speed up design validation for functional silicon
