The role is for a senior engineer and technical leader focused on developing and enhancing Apple's AMS simulation methodology for analog, RF, and mixed-signal designs. The successful candidate will work closely with design teams to drive the development and validation of AMS/co-simulation flows, ensuring functional silicon and speeding up design validation. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to mentor engineers while influencing technical direction. The contributions made will significantly impact the experiences of millions of Apple customers through the delivery of state-of-the-art processors.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of relevant AMS industry experience
• Strong proficiency in Python, Perl, C/C++, or TCL programming
• Deep, hands-on experience with mixed-signal co-simulation tools and methodologies
• Expert-level experience with industry-standard AMS tools including Cadence, Synopsys, or Siemens
• Deep knowledge of analog simulation tools such as Cadence Spectre or Synopsys PrimeSim
• Proficiency with behavioral and functional circuit description languages including SystemVerilog and VHDL
• Demonstrated experience leading the application of LLMs/AI agents to CAD software development
• Strong understanding of custom IC designs and transistor description formats
• Advanced skills in object-oriented programming and system architecture

• Architect, develop, maintain, and enhance AMS simulation methodology and solutions
• Collaborate closely with design teams to provide flows and methodologies for different tool sets
• Drive and coordinate efforts to develop and validate AMS/co-simulation flows
• Mentor engineers and lead small development teams to deliver complex CAD solutions
• Influence technical direction and drive quality and productivity improvements at an organizational level
• Deliver validated IP in cutting-edge silicon through effective design verification workflows
