Job description
The Senior Product Quality Engineer (PQE) role at NVIDIA focuses on maintaining the quality of Automotive and Tegra products. This position is part of the Quality and Reliability Group, which aims to enhance customer experience through continuous quality improvement. The engineer will support products throughout their lifecycle, from new product introduction to production release, while addressing customer complaints. The role requires strong technical expertise in automotive chip products and data analysis.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Product/Test/Application/Quality Engineering
- BS Degree or MS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience in chip level failure analysis and debug
- Expertise in using Advantest V93000 Tester and experience in test equipment bring up
- Familiarity with system level test
- Exposure to digital design, circuit analysis, schematic review, statistical analysis, firmware, drivers, and diagnostic software applications
- Comfortable with the use of lab tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters
- Outstanding problem-solving, collaborative, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Act as the quality representative to the automotive NPI teams, supporting customer and internal quality requirements.
- Coordinate with multi-functional teams to align and maintain plans, methodologies, and requirements for chip failure analysis solutions.
- Lead cross-functional teams in customer quality issue root cause debug efforts using the 8D process.
- Conduct failure analysis activities including data analysis, chip-level ATE, System level test, and Si FA tasks.
- Generate 8D failure analysis reports and verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Create and review failure trends based on customer failure information and recommend actions for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams to understand quality and reliability expectations and report Automotive Quality Metrics.
- Share lessons learned from previous field quality issues and provide early input via DFMEA to mitigate known quality and production risks.
- Represent quality in internal CRB and MRB meetings to ensure product quality meets NVIDIA standards.
