Job description
The role is part of the Operations NPI Product Development Engineering team at NVIDIA, focusing on the transition of products from engineering concepts to high-volume datacenter platforms. The team is responsible for the Manufacturing, Test, and Failure Analysis processes for new datacenter servers and assemblies. This position involves collaboration with various engineering teams and manufacturing partners to ensure high-quality product development. The successful candidate will drive process improvements and support factory operations.
Requirements
- BS/MS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering and 12+ years of relevant work experience.
- Proven skills and experience in design and manufacture of complex compute or networking hardware platforms.
- Strong ability to diagnose and rationally solve problems on complex hardware platforms.
- Familiar with diagnostics/test software as used in a factory setting.
- Familiarity with Linux command line, running commands, reviewing outputs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, typically 2-3 times per quarter.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive product development plans that will result in high quality products.
- Collaborate with a multi-functional group of HW/FW/SW engineering teams and manufacturing partners.
- Participate in Design for Manufacturing / Test (DFX) process and reviews.
- Work closely with factory personnel and engineering teams during prototype/validation builds.
- Define and implement process improvements based on data collection and analysis.
- Review build dashboards to analyze throughput, yields, and failures.
- Debug server platforms as per published guidelines and perform minor rework.
- Publish clear daily status and build reports.
- Develop documentation and SOPs for product assembly, test, and failure analysis.
- Collaborate with Contract Manufacturers to ensure smooth running of factory assembly and test operations.
