Job description

AI Infrastructure Engineers at NVIDIA are responsible for building the systems, tooling, and data infrastructure that support GPU cloud services. This role is ideal for engineers who excel at the intersection of product, infrastructure, and software engineering. The team focuses on creating automated, intelligence-driven systems that safeguard NVIDIA's critical AI platforms. Engineers will work on telemetry, operational excellence, and cataloging to enhance service visibility and operational responsiveness.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure security, platform engineering, or security tooling.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Typescript, or Java.
  • Strong understanding of software and infrastructure principles, with experience applying them in production environments.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives that span internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate scalable telemetry pipelines for metrics, logs, traces, and events across various clusters.
  • Establish common instrumentation, collection, storage, and access patterns for telemetry.
  • Deliver dashboards, alerting, and analysis capabilities to improve service visibility and troubleshooting.
  • Standardize and automate incident, maintenance, and support workflows across HWInf.
  • Integrate operational data and lifecycle signals to enhance ownership and communication.
  • Build reporting and AI-assisted tooling to reduce manual toil and improve operational responsiveness.
  • Build and maintain physical hardware and software catalogs as trusted sources of truth.
  • Create consistent data models and integration pipelines connecting clusters, hardware, services, and workflows.
  • Provide self-service discovery capabilities for engineers to identify and support their operations.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
