Job description

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President, Lead Software Engineer to design and implement critical systems for electronic real-time trade reporting in North America. This role involves leading communication with business owners and building an electronic trading system to support business growth. The engineer will manage messaging middleware and improve the software development life cycle processes. Additionally, the position includes providing support and training as the development team expands.

Requirements

  • Requires a Master’s in Engineering or a related field.
  • Requires three years of experience in the position offered or as a Vice President, Associate, or a related technical occupation.
  • Requires three years of experience with C++, Java, Python, SQL, JSON, Git, Linux, Object Oriented Design, Data Structure, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and working in a Financial Services Environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement critical systems for electronic real-time trade reporting.
  • Lead efforts to communicate with business owners.
  • Build and test the electronic trading system to support business growth.
  • Manage robust messaging middleware and tooling.
  • Improve the software development life cycle process.
  • Drive technical renovation globally to enhance trade reporting system observability and AI integration.
  • Provide required support and training as the development team grows.
  • Provide on-site production IT environment support.
