Job description
This entry-level position involves assisting with the planning, design, purchase, and implementation of machining processes and equipment in an industrial plant. The role focuses on collaborating with engineering teams to identify and solve problems related to product performance. The candidate will also work on improving equipment availability and capability through continuous improvement initiatives. This position is ideal for recent graduates with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
- Basic level of relevant work experience is required.
- Learning GD&T.
- CNC programming skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing problem-solving techniques.
- Familiarity with quality control basics.
Responsibilities
- Assist in determining parts and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals.
- Collaborate with engineering to identify product and performance issues and recommend solutions.
- Perform equipment engineering design evaluations and document results.
- Recommend alterations to improve product quality and procedures.
- Utilize continuous improvement tools to enhance equipment availability and capability.
