The Staff Embedded Software Engineer for Pixel Interfaces at Google will focus on developing and maintaining software architecture for Low-Speed IO subsystems. This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure seamless connectivity with peripherals and leading pre-silicon validation strategies. The engineer will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members across global sites. This position requires a strong background in embedded systems and software design.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience in embedded systems, Linux drivers, and C/C++.

• Define and maintain the multi-generation software architecture for Low-Speed IO subsystems across Linux kernel and bare-metal/Real-Time Operating System firmware environments.
• Lead pre-silicon validation strategies using Gem5, QEMU, and FPGA emulation platforms.
• Partner closely with Silicon Architecture, Digital Design, Board EE, and peripheral client teams to ensure seamless connectivity with LSIO peripherals.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and architectural mentorship to team members across global sites.
