The Manager, Technical Operations is responsible for overseeing Amazon's in-region postponement factory operations, leading a team of Senior Operations Program Managers and Senior Site Technical Managers. This role focuses on factory readiness, production launch, process development, and sustained operations. The manager defines team strategy, sets goals, and drives cross-functional execution to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality program delivery. The position is part of the Device Postponement Operations team at Amazon Lab126, which specializes in customizing and delivering innovative devices.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years in manufacturing operations with at least 3 years managing teams of technical individual contributors.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments.
• Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
• Knowledge of QA methodology and tools.
• 2+ years of programmable logic controls (PLC) programs experience.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA.
• Experience with program management spanning planning, execution, and project delivery.
• Data analysis skills using tools such as Matlab, JMP, or Minitab.
• Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent, or MS degree.
• Experience in program management, tech program management, or related fields.
• 4+ years of maintenance or engineering experience with complex automated material handling equipment.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience in facilities management.
• Experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

• Own the performance, delivery, and development of a team of Senior Operations Program Managers and Senior Site Technical Managers.
• Define team goals and strategy by working backwards from customer problems and business needs.
• Set program priorities with the team and align resources across various departments.
• Lead recruitment efforts by attracting and hiring high-quality talent.
• Grow direct reports through collaborative development planning and coaching.
