The role focuses on multi-factor authentication (MFA) architecture and design within Citi's digital fraud prevention team. This team collaborates with various departments to create authentication frameworks that minimize fraud losses and enhance customer access. The position requires a strong technical background and the ability to analyze fraud patterns while ensuring compliance with risk management strategies. The candidate will also lead enhancements in fraud detection and support strategic initiatives across the organization.

• 6+ years of experience in fraud risk, digital platforms, programming, or a related domain.
• Proven expertise in digital platforms, including mobile/online platforms and API-based authentication.
• Familiarity with device fingerprinting and orchestration layers.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Demonstrated experience in Agile delivery and project management methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience with C, C++, Java strongly preferred.
• Experience with SQL, Data Warehousing, and Tableau preferred.

• Serve as the primary architecture and design subject matter expert for multi-factor authentication within the digital fraud prevention domain.
• Partner with Fraud Policy, Fraud Requirements, and Fraud Analytics teams to develop and maintain settings that support risk-based authentication.
• Analyze fraud patterns across digital channels and contribute to investigation and response strategies.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert for authentication journeys, supporting stakeholders in understanding orchestration flows.
• Oversee the design and post-implementation validation of MFA rule changes.
• Lead enhancements in fraud detection and error monitoring dashboards.
• Support strategic fraud prevention initiatives by advising on technical feasibility and coordinating with partners.
• Champion cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing through training and mentoring.
• Maintain situational awareness of authentication-related fraud trends and provide insights for mitigation planning.
• Continuously assess process efficiencies and advocate for automation in authentication monitoring.
