Job description
The Beats Accessories Product Design team at Apple is looking for a product design engineer to contribute to the development of next-generation accessory products. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including Industrial Design and Electrical Engineering, to define product objectives and validate designs through mass production. The position requires a focus on integrating advanced components while maintaining a high standard of quality and customer experience. The role may also involve international travel of approximately 10%.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in product design or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrated ability in plastic and metal part design.
- 3-D CAD skills.
- Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Some experience with basic finite element analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative and detail-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to work in a quickly changing environment.
- Experience working with overseas manufacturers.
- Consumer electronics design experience.
- Fluent in Siemens NX.
- Hands-on prototyping experience.
- Experience with integration of wireless antenna into mechanical enclosures.
- Experience with component modules.
