The Director of Software Engineering will lead the modernization of Fidelity's authorization platform into cloud-native solutions, ensuring Tier-0 reliability and 24x7 availability. This role is part of the Shared Services Engineering team, which focuses on building and operating secure and scalable authorization systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud technologies and agile team leadership. They will be responsible for driving operational excellence and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.

• Bachelor's or master's degree with 12 years of experience in software and cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Experience handling incident management and problem management of Tier 0 platforms.
• Proven expertise in leveraging AWS cloud services to architect and deliver cloud-native systems.
• Experience directing technical teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Preferred experience in retail financial markets or another highly regulated industry.

• Lead modernization of authorization components from legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.
• Champion best practices in system design, development, and operations.
• Align engineering efforts with business priorities and collaborate across teams.
• Drive architectural decisions that enhance security and operational scalability.
