Job description
The Wallet, Payments & Commerce (WPC) team at Apple is seeking passionate engineers to build resilient and reliable distributed software systems. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining complex software systems.
- A solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals.
- Hands-on software development experience with Java or Kotlin and Spring.
- Development and operational experience with REST and/or gRPC services.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
- Understanding of modern networking and experience using traffic tools for tracing.
- An appreciation for security, privacy, and cryptography.
- Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deliver, and maintain exceptional software.
- Participate in technical discussions and write specifications.
- Review code and produce documentation.
- Shape the architecture and design of platforms and offerings.
- Provide on-call support for the software built.
- Drive complex projects from conception to production.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly with diverse audiences.
