The manager will collaborate closely with Product, UX, and cross-functional Payments teams to shape the future of YouTube's consumer business generation. This position requires both technical expertise and leadership skills to guide engineers across multiple teams and locations.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
• Experience designing, building, or managing distributed systems, transactional backends, or commerce/billing infrastructure.

• Set and communicate team priorities aligned with broader organizational goals.
• Review code developed by engineers to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
• Develop the mid-term technical vision and roadmap for the team.
• Design and guide systems designs within the broader area.
• Advocate for operational excellence and reliability in transactional pipelines.
