Job description

The Model Risk Management (MRM) group at Goldman Sachs is seeking a professional to oversee AI risk management and governance. This role involves managing the AI oversight committee and coordinating AI risk assessment activities across various functions. The candidate will work closely with business and engineering teams to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations. Additionally, the position requires liaising with technology teams to design scalable infrastructure for AI management.

Requirements

  • 3 plus years of experience, preferably in Financial Services and with working knowledge of AI
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Comfort operating in areas of evolving regulation and limited precedent
  • Programming skills preferred, such as Python

Responsibilities

  • Manage the AI oversight committee including agenda-setting and executive-level decision support
  • Oversee AI risk assessment and approval activities across control functions
  • Own the firmwide view of AI usage and enable senior leadership to understand risk posture
  • Design, maintain, and evolve the firmwide AI governance framework
  • Liaise with technology teams to design scalable infrastructure for AI management
  • Manage and coordinate engagement with regulators to shape external understanding of risk management
