Job description

The role is within the AWM Public Product Control team, focusing on the oversight of various investment valuations including equity, fixed income, and derivatives. The team collaborates with multiple stakeholders such as portfolio management, operations, and compliance to ensure accurate price verification. The position involves regular interaction with independent fund administrators and requires the preparation of management reports. The candidate will also assist in developing valuation frameworks for new securities and funds.

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance is preferred but not required.
  • CFA, CPA, or progress towards these designations is preferred but not required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the financial markets and investment management industry is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Desktop Applications and AI Tools, including Copilot, is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the price verification of fixed income securities.
  • Develop a valuation and price verification framework for newly traded securities and funds.
  • Interact with independent fund administrators to resolve daily valuation questions.
  • Prepare management reports and key valuation metrics for various stakeholders.
  • Coordinate an annual vendor due diligence process with third-party pricing vendors.
  • Review and update the Valuation Policy at least annually.
