Job description
Qualcomm Technologies' Integrated Platform Solutions (IPS) team is looking for a Support Engineer / Technician in San Diego. This role focuses on collaborating with hardware engineering teams to develop, validate, and deploy chip test platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hardware debugging skills and experience with power distribution networks and high-speed digital measurement techniques. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams on next-generation Qualcomm technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of Support Engineering or related work experience, or Associate's degree and 2+ years of experience, or High School Diploma with 3+ years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, debug, and validation of prototype platforms.
- Strong understanding of power delivery, signal integrity, and high-speed interface design principles.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Support prototype hardware bring-up, debug, distribution, and new silicon validation activities.
- Troubleshoot platform hardware and ASIC-related issues using test scripts and lab equipment.
- Collect and analyze test data to prepare technical reports.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced development environment.
