The Senior Firmware Engineer will be part of the Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering Firmware Development team at Microsoft, focusing on the design and development of server and rack infrastructure firmware for cloud services. The role involves collaborating with various teams to create foundational firmware infrastructure and platform services that enhance Microsoft's cloud hardware and AI infrastructure. • Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain firmware infrastructure and platform services.
• Design and develop reusable firmware frameworks and libraries to improve scalability and maintainability.
• Drive early firmware development and validation through pre-silicon environments and hardware bring-up activities.
• Develop platform management, serviceability, telemetry, diagnostics, and reliability capabilities.
• Collaborate with silicon, hardware, platform, validation, and software engineering teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Provide technical leadership through system design, architecture reviews, and mentorship.
