Citi is seeking a Senior AI/ML & Agentic AI Engineer to join their Engineering Excellence and Transformation organization. This role focuses on designing, developing, and integrating advanced AI/ML solutions, including AI assistant tools, to enhance engineering processes and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in Python, Java, and cloud technologies to build high-performance AI systems. This position emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and adherence to ethical AI guidelines.

• At least 6+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and AI/ML development.
• Minimum of 5 years specifically focused on Generative AI, Agentic AI, and full-stack AI solutions.
• Expert proficiency in Python for AI/ML development.
• Strong proficiency in Java for building scalable enterprise applications.
• Extensive experience with Generative AI and the development of AI assistant tools.
• Solid experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Extensive hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI/ML and Agentic AI solutions.
• Architect and develop end-to-end AI systems using Python and Java.
• Design and implement intelligent agentic systems for advanced automation.
• Develop and optimize Large Language Models for production-ready systems.
• Drive the implementation of advanced generative AI methods.
• Own the deployment pipeline for AI models using CI/CD methodologies.
• Apply knowledge of database technologies to design efficient data management strategies.
• Contribute to the establishment of engineering best practices and tooling standards.
• Stay updated on advancements in AI/ML and cloud technologies.
• Ensure adherence to ethical AI guidelines and compliance standards.
• Act as a mentor for junior engineers in technical best practices.
