Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operation Research, or a related quantitative and analytics field.
- Seven years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- A Master's degree in a relevant field and five years of experience is also acceptable.
- Experience with SAS SQL, Cloud databases, R programming, and Excel.
- Knowledge of insurance rating products and principles, claims, underwriting, marketing, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Develop statistical methods and procedures to ensure data validity and accuracy.
- Design and develop data sampling techniques and statistical methods to solve business problems.
- Manage analysts in updating predictive models and reports.
- Consult on the creation of new models and reports.
- Draw insights and make recommendations based on assigned analysis.
- Prepare department business plans, staffing projections, and budgets.
- Supervise and provide instructions for data collection and statistical data interpretation.
- Manage large amounts of data processing for statistical modeling and graphic analysis.
