Job description
The Linux Systems Engineer will join the Infrastructure Engineering team at NVIDIA, focusing on supporting high-performance EDA compute farms. This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade Linux environments optimized for EDA workloads. The engineer will lead automation initiatives and develop robust tooling to ensure a highly available and scalable infrastructure. Candidates should have a passion for technology and a strong background in Linux systems engineering.
Requirements
- 8+ years of deep systems engineering experience working with RPM-based Linux distributions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong track record of automating end-to-end multi-tier infrastructure configurations.
- Deep understanding of virtualization and container internals, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in at least one modern scripting language such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Deep operational understanding of OSI layers and modern networking.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, tune, and secure mission-critical Linux operating systems across production and non-production environments.
- Lead infrastructure configuration management and continuous deployment workflows using Infrastructure as Code.
- Write high-quality, maintainable code to automate repetitive operational tasks.
- Manage Linux Naming Services and networked storage environments to support high-performance EDA workloads.
