This role is focused on data center design and engineering within AWS Infrastructure Services. The team is responsible for the planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure, ensuring safety and security while optimizing capacity and cost. Engineers will collaborate with various teams to assess colocation facilities and resolve operational deficiencies. The position offers opportunities for leadership and influence over data center standards and processes on a global scale.

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer License.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment.

• Conduct site assessments against AWS standards for collocation data centers.
• Review vendor critical infrastructure designs and perform risk analysis.
• Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers.
• Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with training and procedure reviews.
• Own the design for existing data center upgrades and solutions.
• Lead and approve designs for co-location data center upgrades.
• Interface with internal teams to promote standards for reliability.
• Initiate and lead engineering site audits within data centers.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects.
