• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience in network protocols like DNS/DHCP/TCP or strong analytical skills

• Design, develop, and maintain highly available, scalable distributed systems for Amazon Route 53's DNS infrastructure.
• Lead technical initiatives to build new features and functionality including Private DNS and DNS Firewall.
• Own the full software development lifecycle from architecture to production operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across AWS to deliver integrations and traffic management solutions.
• Drive operational excellence by troubleshooting complex issues spanning databases and networking.
• Mentor team members and raise the technical bar through code reviews and design discussions.
