Job description

The Software Development Engineer (SDE) role in Amazon S3 involves managing large-scale storage solutions and delivering high-quality technology products in a fast-paced environment. The team is focused on innovation within the storage control plane, tackling challenging technical problems that impact customers globally. Engineers will work on designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions that enhance performance, cost, and reliability. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions to deliver new features.
  • Use software engineering best practices to ensure the quality of all team deliverables.
  • Build and implement high-quality distributed system software.
  • Work in an agile development environment prioritizing impactful projects.
