Job description

The Higher Education Solutions Engineer role at Google for Education focuses on managing technology integration and innovation in educational institutions. This position involves developing and executing technical Go-to-Market strategies while acting as a trusted technical advisor to key accounts. The Solutions Engineer will work closely with product, engineering, and sales teams to influence product roadmaps and ensure successful technology adoption. The role emphasizes the integration of new technologies, such as Gemini AI, into existing educational infrastructures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a technical project management or customer-facing role.
  • 6 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, education technology, or related fields.
  • Experience with SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and web technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer business and academic requirements to design and architect solutions that integrate Gemini into their existing infrastructure.
  • Act as a technical advocate for Gemini, promoting its capabilities in customer-facing meetings, workshops, and public events.
  • Work closely with our Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to provide customer feedback and influence the product roadmap.
  • Prepare and present compelling demonstrations of Gemini and address technical questions that arise throughout the sales and adoption process.
  • Take responsibility for technical aspects of solutions, including bid responses, product briefings, partner training, and proof-of-concept work.
