Jacobs is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer to join their team in West Des Moines, Iowa. This role focuses on transportation projects, specifically bridge design and structural analysis. The engineer will serve in a technical role and may lead tasks on various projects. The position offers the opportunity to work on both local and national transportation structures.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 6-10 years of relevant professional experience in bridge design and inspection
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Iowa or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Solid understanding of standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable codes
• Proficiency in bridge design software such as LEAP Concrete/Bridge and AASHTOWare BrR
• Working knowledge of CAD systems, specifically Bentley MicroStation or Bentley OpenRoads Designer

• Perform complex structural analysis and design for transportation projects
• Develop design documentation, calculations, and specifications
• Lead tasks on bridge design projects
• Conduct inspections as required on occasion
• Apply the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications to transportation structures
