The SYSDEV Engineer II role is part of the Security Products and Solutions team, which manages the lifecycle of physical security hardware across AWS data centers. This position focuses on integrating security products into the broader technology ecosystem, ensuring compatibility with firmware, network infrastructure, and server platforms. The engineer will bridge hardware and software domains, driving system-level testing and validation. This role requires a strong understanding of systems architecture and collaboration with various teams to enhance security workflows.

• 5+ years of systems development experience
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals including networking, storage, and operating systems
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
• Experience with distributed systems at scale
• Experience working on physical security design and implementation of Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV Surveillance systems

• Architect and maintain the integration of physical security hardware products within the broader security ecosystem.
• Define system-level interfaces and data flows between security devices and management servers.
• Develop system architecture documentation that describes how security products interface with data center infrastructure.
• Develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for security devices.
• Design and implement network connectivity solutions for security hardware.
• Design and execute system-level test plans covering firmware validation and network integration.
• Partner with Hardware Development Engineers to ensure new product designs account for integration requirements.
• Author and maintain technical documentation including system architecture diagrams and integration guides.
