Job description

This position involves designing, developing, implementing, and supporting technology products within a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) environment, particularly using Agile methodologies. The role focuses on creating container-based solutions and utilizing Java fundamentals along with the Spring Framework. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure the delivery of product roadmap commitments and support cloud-native migration efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in application design and development, particularly in a microservices-based environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and three years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree in a related field and one year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer.
  • Demonstrated expertise in application design, development, and implementation using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience in legacy system modernization using structured refactoring techniques and dependency-remediation tools.
  • Experience in end-to-end Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery automation and pipeline migration.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain design and system documentation.
  • Coordinate software deployments and monitor post-release performance.
  • Assess user requirements for accuracy and completeness.
  • Implement authorization and access-control logic across applications.
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Evaluate the design of existing and in-development systems to enhance functionality.
  • Perform thorough unit and functional testing.
  • Develop original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts.
  • Design applications or subsystems on major projects for multiple platforms.
  • Support and perform all phases of testing leading to implementation.
  • Assist in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications.
  • Establish project plans for projects of moderate scope.
  • Work on complex assignments and multiple phases of a project.
  • Perform independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects.
