Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director, Lead Software Engineer to support key software applications and risk models within the Investment Banking and Global Capital Markets space. This role involves managing the firm’s lending business and working on all phases of the deal lifecycle. The engineer will build revenue-generating execution and analytics applications while engaging with business stakeholders and third-party vendors. The position requires proficiency in agile software development methodologies and allows for telecommuting up to 2 days per week.

• Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related degree.
• Requires three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related role.
• Requires three (3) years of experience with finance technology and deal servicing platforms.
• Requires three (3) years of experience in designing and developing data-intensive and real-time applications.
• Requires experience with REST and SOAP web services.
• Requires full-stack development experience including Python and Java.
• Requires experience using Spring Containers with Spring Boot for enterprise applications.
• Requires knowledge of XML and JSON.
• Requires experience with container technologies including Docker and Podman.
• Requires experience with FAST API.
• Requires knowledge of relational databases including Sybase, SQL Server, and DB2.
• Requires knowledge of non-relational databases including MongoDB.
• Requires experience with Java multi-threading and concurrent package.
• Requires experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Requires knowledge of UI technologies including JavaScript and Angular frameworks.
• Requires experience developing REST APIs using Spring Boot and Open API specification.
• Requires knowledge of backend web development technology including APIs and cloud computing.
• Requires experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices.
• Requires knowledge of testing frameworks including Junit, Cucumber, or REST Assured.
• Requires experience with Unix scripting and shell scripting.
• Requires knowledge of version control systems including Git.
• Requires experience with Agile development and DevOps.
• Requires experience in production and user support for live systems.
