The position offers the opportunity to influence design specifications and improve processes on a global scale. If you have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural infrastructure design, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact.

- Influence AWS design and specification requirements to meet business needs for colocation products.
- Investigate and document root-cause failure analysis associated with infrastructure and equipment failures.
- Work with vendors and local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and codes.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commissioning teams to test and validate critical systems.
- Support operations and data scientists in determining utilization, efficiency, and performance analysis on critical systems.
- Travel to data center sites as required, both internationally and domestically, up to 50%.
Benefits
- Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
