The Systems Development Engineer will be part of Amazon's Technology Deployment - Systems Integration team, focusing on developing and delivering advanced fulfillment systems. This role requires strong engineering experience in the integrated automation project life cycle, including design, development, and support. The engineer will act as a liaison between Fulfillment Center Operations and product development engineers, ensuring successful deployment and integration of new technologies. The position emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement in deployment processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related STEM field.
• 3+ years of control system experience including PLC/IPC based controls design, development, implementation, and support.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Linux/Unix.
• Demonstrated understanding of life-cycle embedded systems development including hardware and software.
• Experience in testing and implementing software and industrial networking.

• Work with internal and external engineering teams to deliver high-quality cross-functional deployments.
• Contribute to project priorities, establish milestones, and drive deployment schedules.
• Develop and maintain scripts, automation tools, and deployment utilities.
• Communicate project status effectively and produce clear summaries for the program management team.
• Capture and synthesize the Voice of Customer for new product introductions.
• Build strong working relationships with Fulfillment Center and Sort Center management.
