Job description
This role is part of the software development team at Apple, focusing on hyper-scaled Core Backbone and Internet networking. The team is responsible for designing and developing new applications to build a highly scalable core network for Apple. The goal is to enhance the scale and reliability of Apple's global network, covering both edge and backbone core. Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Expert level of proficiency with modern programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, Django, or Golang.
- Strong experience with relational databases such as Postgres and MySQL.
- Strong software engineering background with experience in building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Strong experience in using CI/CD tools and techniques.
- Strong experience with Linux system administration.
- Experience with application containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience operating and developing infrastructure and services in cloud platforms.
- Understanding of centralized configuration management and provisioning technologies, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Understanding of network protocols such as BGP and MPLS.
- Familiarity with network monitoring protocols like Netflow and SNMP.
- Experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, TLS, HTTP, UDP, and DNS.
- Solid understanding of network operating systems like Junos, IOS, or EOS.
