Job description
The role is part of Apple's Platform Architecture group, which focuses on integrating hardware, software, and servers to enhance security for consumer devices. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering degree.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience applying security practices to the design, development, or operation of production services.
- Experience with common programming languages such as Python or Go.
- Knowledge of cryptographic principles and technologies such as authentication and authorization, key management, TLS, certificate lifecycle management, secure boot, and PKI.
- Experience with systems programming languages such as C or C++.
Responsibilities
- Define the architecture for distributed systems that enforce security policies.
- Oversee the operation of systems that drive continuous security improvements for Apple products.
- Conduct security architecture reviews and threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities.
- Design and develop secure services and scalable infrastructure for highly available applications.
- Track emerging security trends and incorporate them into PKI architecture and signing policy.
